Our intensive German course A1.1 is for absolute beginners or learners with very little prior knowledge. You learn the basics you need to communicate in everyday situations – introducing yourself, shopping, at a café or at university.
In class you train all four skills: - Speaking – short dialogues, introducing yourself, asking and answering simple questions - Listening – understanding everyday situations and picking out key information - Reading – understanding short texts, notices, emails and forms - Writing – simple sentences, emails and short texts about yourself and daily life
You build vocabulary step by step (family, work, free time, city, food, time, etc.) and learn core grammar (present tense verb conjugation, articles and plurals, simple sentence structure, wh-questions and yes/no questions).
The course takes place in small groups so you can speak and practice a lot. We work with a current A1 textbook and extras like games, audio and short videos. At the end of A1.1 you can introduce yourself, talk about your daily life and understand basic information in German.

- Read and fill in short emails, messages and forms
- Write simple sentences and short texts about you and your day
- Build essential vocabulary on housing, city, free time, food
- Basic grammar: personal pronouns, present tense verbs, articles, plural, word order, wh- and yes/no questions
